Gentoo GNU/Linux
The Gentoo Linux is a special flovor of Linux, that can be automatically optimized and customized. It is based on a technology called Portage. It can be used as a secure server, a professional as well as a development workstation.

SRB
The SDSC Storage Resource Broker (SRB) is client-server middleware that provides a uniform interface for connecting to heterogeous data resources over a network and assessing replicated data sets. SRB, in conjuction with the Metadata Catalog (MCAT), provides a way to access data sets and resources based on their attributes and/or logical names rather then their names or physical locations.

Mapserver
MapServer is an Open Source development environment for constructing spatially enebled Internet-web applications. It includes interfaces that allows scipting languages such as PHP, Perl, Python and Java to access the MapServer C API.

GRASS
Geographic Resources Analysis Support System is a Geographic Information System (GIS) used for geospatial data management and analysis, image processing, graphics/maps production, spatial modeling, and visualization.

Perl
Perl is a cross platform scripting language. It is a Open Source software, licensed under the GNU General Public Licence (GPL).

Apache
The Apache HTTP Server is an open source HTTP server which provides a secure, efficient and extendible server that provides HTTP services in sync with the current HTTP standards.

msCross
Is the Javascript interface to the Mapserver application, developed during the Datacrossing DSS project. msCross was developed to allow user dinamically display geographical information layers. It was developed to be cross-browser. msCross SourceForge project
